Selenite (Satin Spar) Tower

Starting a new crystal collection or wanting to add some extra cleansing and protection to your home/person, then Satin Spar is an ideal crystal to add to your collection!

Often confused with Selenite, a similar stone in the Gypsum mineral family, Satin Spar generally comes in a milky, white color and has a "cat's eye" effect giving it a sheen. In its raw form, it is a delicate, fibrous material that can be easily scratched, so handle with care. Unlike other crystals that need to be cleansed of additional energies, Satin Spar is self-cleansing and can help to cleanse other stones in your collection as well. if you do decide to cleanse your Satin Spar, do it with lunar energy (moon), as it will disintegrate with the sun or with water.

Considered a Lucky Stone, Satin spar can be found in a variety of colors including colorless, white, brown, orange, pink, yellow and green. Other metaphysical properties include increasing mental awareness, protection against psychic attacks, bringing peace and calm, helps anxiety, cleansing negative energies from your space or your person. This stone can also help give you a boost if you are going through a period of stagnation.

I personally like to keep some Satin Spar above the doorways to my home/spaces to cleanse any energies that come through them and a small polished one always stays on my person. I also like to keep a small piece with my tarot and oracle decks.
