Citrine (Heat Treated)

Citrine is often associated with optimism and positivity. It is a popular Quartz crystal that is often used to promote abundance, prosperity and can bring about wonderful opportunities. This stone can also help to boost self-esteem and confidence by helping you to remember your personal power. It can also help with balancing emotions and bringing a sense of calm.

While it comes in beautiful shades of yellow, orange and sometimes brown, it is also a stone that can be easily faked with heat-treated Amethyst. (This does not mean that you cannot use it for the above; it is just something to be aware of.)

Keeping your Citrine clean and charged is important if you want to get the highest levels of healing.  Being a type of quartz, Citrine can be cleansed with water. While this stone does have a “sunny” disposition, it does not like sunlight (the heat can change the colors of this stone,) and prefers to be charged by moonlight, Selenite/Satin Spar, or even burning a yellow candle near it.
